Yule Spiced Tea

This warming and fragrant tea is the perfect way to warm yourself up on a cold December night!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4-6 whole cloves
  • 1 sm piece of fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 orange peel fresh or dried
  • 1 rooibos tea back
  • 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Bring the water to a boil in a small pot.
  • Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger, and orange peel.
  • Reduce the heat and allow the water to simmer for 6-7 minutes. This allows the flavors to become infused.
  • Turn off the heat and add the tea bag.
  • Steep for 4-5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into a mug.
  • Add the honey to sweeten.
